The third Sunday of October represents one of the most significant liturgical solemnities for the Ambrosian Church and for the domus belonging to all the worshippers: the Duomo. It is the Dedication that, this year, dates on Sunday 18th October and will be celebrated in the Cathedral, at 10.00 a.m., with the Eucharist presided over by the Archpriest Mons. Gianantonio Borgonovo.
On the occasion of this important anniversary, the Holy Mass will be broadcasted live again on Retequattro from the Duomo di Milano.
The Holy Function will be preceded by an interview to Mons. Borgonovo who, also in his role as President of the Veneranda Fabbrica, will bring the audience to the discovery of an extraordinary place, where Candoglia marble – that has been nourishing the Cathedral for centuries – is sculpted: the Marble-workers Yard.
After the first live broadcast on the 24th May 2015, on the occasion of the Solemnity of Pentecost, with this new opportunity the Fabbrica wants to offer – both to the city and to the entire Country – the chance to watch the Holy Mass from such a precious place as the Milanese Cathedral. All of this in the year during which Milan is protagonist on the International scene, on the occasion of Expo 2015. The celebration will be accompanied by the Musical Chapel of the Duomo di Milano, conducted by Don Claudio Burgio, and by Emanuele Carlo Vianelli at the organ.
The next Holy Mass that will be broadcasted live on national scale on Retequattro will be celebrated on Sunday 25th October at 10.00 a.m.
