On Sunday 25th October 2015 at 10.00 a.m., on the occasion of the World Missionary Day, the Holy Mass from the Duomo di Milano will be broadcasted again on Retequattro. The Holy Function will be celebrated by Mons. Claudio Magnoli, Director of the Pontificio Istituto Ambrosiano di Musica Sacra and Secretary of the Congregazione del Rito Ambrosiano.
The Holy Function will be preceded by an interview to the Cathedral Archpriest Mons. Gianantonio Borgonovo who, in his role as President of the Veneranda Fabbrica, will guide the public to the discovery of one of the most touching places of the Duomo, descending into the bowels of the ancient Mediolanum: the Archaeological Area and, in particular, the Baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti, where St. Augustine was baptized by the hands of St. Ambrose.
After the first live broadcast on the 24th May 2015, on the occasion of the Solemnity of Pentecost, with this new opportunity the Fabbrica wants to offer – both to the city and to the entire Country – the chance to watch the Holy Mass from such a precious place as the Milanese Cathedral. All of this in the year during which Milan is protagonist on the International scene, on the occasion of Expo 2015.
The celebration will be accompanied by the Musical Chapel of the Duomo di Milano, conducted by Don Claudio Burgio, and by Emanuele Carlo Vianelli at the organ.
The next Holy Mass that will be broadcasted live on Retequattro will be celebrated on Sunday 29th November at 10.00 a.m.
