A new year to discover the secrets of the Milan Cathedral with our guided tours

The offers and the paths for January 2016

The new year begin in the Cathedral sign, to discover this extraordinary tale of an half millennium, in a suggestive paths which will guide the visitors through the endless forest of 3.400 statues, the mighty gothic aisles of the Cathedral, the beautiful stained glass windows, to waves timeless stories and secrets.

Also in January, continue the guided tours of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano. “Enigmas and secrets of the Cathedral” will take the visitors to explore the secrets aspects of the Monument, between history and legend, while “The Duomo and its origin” will lead the visitors in the underground, to the bowels of the Cathedral.

Moreover, for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the “Our eldest brothers” offer the possibility to test the Jewish  stories that have marked the Cathedral, including the one of Arrigo Minerbi, the Isreali artist of the gate chosen by the Archbishop as the  Holy Door of Mercy for all Jubilee.

“Leonardo da Vinci and the Duomo” will take the visitors to discover the story of the Renaissance genius with the greats numbers of the Milan Cathedral in an open challenge, contributing in the design of the dome and of the lantern of the Cathedral.

The guided tours are held every Saturday at 3.00 pm in Italian, reservation required. Furthmore, every Saturday at 4.00 pm in English and 5.00 pm in Italian, a special walk on the Terraces between the spires of the Cathedral will lead to discover the “extraordinary beauty unique in the world” declaim by Stendhal.

Price: € 10,00 each person. Children under the age of 6 can participate free.
Tickets, once purchased, are not refundable; however, if not obliterated, are valid until the 31st December 2016.
Meeting and tickets:tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office 1 in Piazza Duomo (south side of the Cathedral towards Piazzetta Reale), where a guide from the Veneranda Fabbrica will be waiting for the participants before the tour starts.

SUNSET AMONG THE SPIRES 
A walk among the spires of the Duomo, especially close to the hour of sunset, is a unique experience to have at least once in a lifetime. One of the most charming parts of the Cathedral gives a priceless view over the city, great emotions and an open dialogue with history. The Veneranda Fabbrica, also this year, offers the chance of one-hour guided tour to discover this sight.
