The Educational Section has chosen to recommend the main themes for getting to know the Duomo to teachers. In fact, the educational itineraries will be designed to suit school syllabuses and the needs of the teachers together with whom the various offers will be framed.
- Educational Workshops
Educational workshops have been scheduled for all grades, from the pre-school to the high school level. Guided tours are either combined with or replaced by creative and recreational activities that allow both small children and older boys and girls to experiment with the techniques and concepts learned along the itinerary.
New for 2012-13
- “The Museum and Then…” – itineraries in the Fabbrica
In cooperation with the Duomo’s Musical Chapel, the Veneranda Fabbrica Archives and the Marble Cutters’ Site, the Museum offers educational itineraries dedicated to a first approach to music, polyphonic singing, the study of historical sources and the working of Candoglia marble.

Prices
The prices are intended per class (max 25 pupils).
Guided tours
- Duration: 75 min. – €60
- Duration: 90 min. – €80
- Duration: 120 min. – €100
Educational Workshops
- Duration: 90 min. – €80
Combination tickets and promotions
- Guided tour + Educational workshop (duration 3 hours) – €130
- Three services of your choice (carried out on two different days) – €180
- LaboWeb! entitles you to a 20% discount on chosen activities (excluding admission and headset/audio guide services)
Additional charges
Guided tours or workshops that include admission to the Cathedral require rental of headsets/audio guides at €2 per student.
When scheduled, the following admission charges (per person) must be added to the price of the chosen activity:
- Archaeological Area (Baptistery) – €2 (reduced for school groups)
- Terraces – €6 by elevator; €3.50 on foot
To benefit from the reduction, the list of pupils must be presented at the ticket counter.
Free Admission
For each class, two free admissions are provided for accompanying teachers.
Disabled visitors and their carers shall have free admission and guided tours.
Payments
Payments for activities can be made via bank transfer or in cash on site at the time of the visit.
These services are VAT exempt as per art. 10, paragraph 22 of Italian Presidential Decree 633/72.

Bookings are made exclusively using the on-line “Booking Forms,” which must be completed and faxed or e-mailed in order to record the request.
