Opening on May 4th, in the Church of Santa Maria Annunciata in Camposanto – Piazza Duomo, Milan – the exhibition by Massimo Petrini “The First Family: The Revelation of Color in the Duomo of Milan.”
This elaborate and structured work of pictorial/digital revisiting of the Cathedral’s façade, directed at restoring “life” and “speech” to the white marble and statues, has been displayed for the very first time.
From May 5th to June 3rd, one-hour long guided tours conducted by the artist will be held to illustrate a path of knowledge created using the extraordinary instrument of color.
Thanks to color, the human bodies sculpted in the white marble take on the texture of flesh and the fabrics of the garments regain the liveliness of the age-old pigments.
The Duomo’s façade will relive again and communicate with those admiring it.
The price of the visit for businesses and groups is €20 per person and includes the bilingual catalogue. For school groups, the visit is free of charge.
Admission is free.
