An image in the history of Milan, the Duomo Photocontest

Until 31 October you can participate in the photographic competition

A photographic contest with entry open to all and free of charge to narrate the city of Milan through the eyes of the people of Milan, of the passer-by or of the tourist. It's called "AN IMAGE IN THE HISTORY OF MILAN" and is the photocontest with which the Veneranda Fabbrica di Milano is launching an open invitation to reinterpret Milan from a new perspective, starting precisely from the Cathedral, the heart and symbol of the city.

The photographs must be able to narrate the city through the eyes of those who want to reinterpret the steps of a great history in evolution in their own way and must have as the subject one or more images of the Monumental Complex of Milan Cathedral (i.e. the Cathedral, the Baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti, the Cathedral Museum, the Terraces, the Baptistery of Santo Stefano, the Church of Santa Maria Annunciata in Camposanto and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte) and/or the Pavilion of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo at Expo.

A new perspective able to highlight the many facets of the metropolis of Milan which often remain hidden.

Here's how to enter:

send by email to :

- the entry form, compiled in all its parts;

- a signed copy of the Contest regulations;

- a maximum of 5 photos, in JPEG format, with maximum length of 1,000 pixels and with 72 dpi resolution. Photographs may be black and white or colour, in portrait or landscape format. The winners of the contest will subsequently asked for the high-definition versions.

You can enter until 31/10/2015 at 23:59:59 hours.

The three winners will be announced by 10/12/2015.
