As of Tuesday, 27 March 2018, a new service has been put into effect in order to improve tourist reception and make entry to the Duomo's Terraces more fluid. A service that responds to the demand for reduced wait times and queues for visitors: the Fast-Track Ticket.
The Fast-Track Ticket makes it possible to reach the entrance to the Duomo's Terraces with a reduced wait time thanks to a privileged security check lane.
The Fast-Track Ticket also includes a visit to the Grande Museo del Duomo (and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte) and access to the Duomo and to the Archaeological Area - Baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti via the group entrance.
Fast-track visitors are still subject to the same rules and security procedures in effect within the Monumental Complex.
This service is available exclusively for visiting the Terraces everyday from 10am to 5pm (last ticket at 4:50pm): tickets for single visitors can be purchased at the Fast-Track ticket booth located in Piazza del Duomo (to the right side of the façade).
Outside of this time frame, visitors can access the Terraces in accordance with the normal visiting hours and the normal route of entry.
Available for groups up to 10 people (guide excluded).
The perks for tourists in possession of a Fast-Track Ticket include:
- audioguide rental for their visit to the Monumental Complex at a reduced fee of €6 (can be picked up at the Fast-Track ticket booth)
- an exclusive discount of 10% at the Duomo Shop, the official store of the Duomo di Milano (on a selection of specific products), open everyday from 8am to 6:30pm within Ticket Booth 1 – Sala delle Colonne (Piazza del Duomo, 14/a).
Those in possession of a Fast-Track Ticket A, can request the cloak-kimono for entry to the Cathedral free of charge (with pick up at the Fast-Track ticket booth).
