Palm Sunday, with the double remembrance of Jesus’ Triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Mass combined with the Procession) and the Anointing of Bethany (Mass during the day), introduces us to Holy Week, called – since the most ancient documents of the Ambrosian liturgy – Hebdomada authentica (Authentic Week), which is the “eminent” week between all the weeks in the liturgical year and therefore a typical and normative week.

Our journey begins with Jesus, in the desire of understanding what is in his heart as he prepares to live the Passion.
“Allow us, Lord Jesus, to intuit your feelings, to enter into your conscience, into your profound decisions, while you are about to surrender your life to death on the cross for us.
We ask you, Lord Jesus, to guide us on the journey to Jerusalem and to Easter. Allow us to verify from your steps our daily steps, it is only in this way that we can live in your Mystery of death and resurrection”
(Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini).

It is possible to follow the pontifical mass (10.45am) live on television on the digital terrestrial channel 195 and in streaming on the Diocese of Milan website (www.chiesadimilano.it).
