AN EXCLUSIVE AND UNIQUE REPRODUCTION

An extraordinarily beautiful collectible work, finished with refined, glossy gilding and enriched by a real, pink Candoglia marble plaque. This same marble, which has been extracted day after day from the Candoglia quarries since 1387 by the Veneranda Fabbrica, is destined for the construction and conservation of Milan Duomo.

The official replica of “La Madonnina del Duomo” is made in Italy in the Nolana Del Giudice Foundry exclusively for the Veneranda Fabbrica using the model that was made for the most recent restoration of the Madonnina, the loving protector of the city of Milan since 1774.

The precious copy in gilded bronze, mounted on a refined wooden base, measures 30cm in height and is handmade using the lost-wax casting technique, guaranteeing a perfectly finished product that remains completely faithful to the original.

With the 2020 Limited Edition, the Veneranda Fabbrica is offering sixty unique copies of great artistic value and precious rarity, dedicated to enthusiasts and collectors. The edition number, stamped directly onto the sculpture and engraved in gold colour directly onto the marble plaque, exemplifies the uniqueness of this piece.
Packaged in an elegant durmast oak casing with a sliding closure, the case is personalised with the edition number and the Veneranda Fabbrica’s official logo.

This precious copy is also enriched by the special monograph “La Madonnina del Duomo di Milano”, an unpublished editorial work that tells the extraordinary history of the symbol of the city and the most curious and interesting anecdotes from this special story of the Madùnina in great detail, accompanied by original photographs from the Veneranda Fabbrica’s Historical Archive and unpublished texts edited by the Institution’s experts.
