The\u00a0<strong>30 January 2018<\/strong>\u00a0the Veneranda Fabbrica&#8217;s board of directors designated\u00a0<strong>Mons. Gianantonio Borgonovo<\/strong>, Archpriest of the Duomo and Director of the Cultural and Conservation Area, with the task of selecting the members of the Scientific Committee.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following individuals were selected:\u00a0<strong>Prof.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Gianfranco Maraniello<\/strong>, art historian and Director of MART &#8211; the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto;\u00a0<strong>Prof.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Mario Negri<\/strong>, Rector of IULM &#8211; the Free University of Languages and Communications of Milan;\u00a0<strong>Prof.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Massimo Negri<\/strong>, Director of the European Museum Academy;\u00a0<strong>Dr.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Elisa Mantia<\/strong>, art historian; and\u00a0<strong>Prof.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Roberto Ruozi<\/strong>, Professor Emeritus of &#8220;Luigi Bocconi&#8221; University where he served as Rector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The committee collaborates with the Director of the Cultural and Conservation Area in defining strategic approaches for the development of the Veneranda Fabbrica&#8217;s cultural activities and, specifically, of activities related to the identity of the Museo del Duomo and its cultural and scientific mission, as well as the organisation&#8217;s Archives-Library.<\/p>\n<p>Among the committee&#8217;s tasks are that of: enhancing and promoting the artistic patrimony of the Veneranda Fabbrica&#8217;s collections through conferences, seminars, and cultural outreach programs; coordinating communication, promotion, publications, catalogues, didactic activities, and related events; identifying other national and international museums, organisations, and institutions with
