THE EMOTION OF THE SUNSET LIGHTS UP THE CATHEDRAL WITH EXTRAORDINARY BEAUTY AS IT INAUGURATES BRAND-NEW EXCLUSIVE EVENING WALKS AMONG THE SPIRES AND EXCITING GUIDED VISITS TO CONDOGLIA QUARRY<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After last year’s extraordinary success, Veneranda Fabbrica<\/strong> offers a new calendar of events and evening guided tours with the iconic Milan Duomo\u2019s Rooftops<\/strong> as the absolute protagonists.<\/p>\n

The emotion of the evening lights up the Cathedral with extraordinary beauty.<\/strong> By populare demand, starting from 6th June 2024, the suggestive Thursdays with musical accompaniment at sunset return, thanks to the support of Tiqets, an online marketing and booking platform for cultural experiences around the world and sponsor of the initiative.<\/p>\n

THURSDAY EVENING OPENINGS UNTIL 10 P.M. WITH MUSICAL ACCOMPANIMENT<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Every Thursday evening, from 6th June to 12th September 2024,<\/strong> visitors will have the incredible opportunity to enjoy the majestic spectacle of the 135 spires and thousands of statues that populate the Cathedral’s walls until 10 p.m, right the moment when the infinite hues of the sunset light dyes the precious pink Candoglia marble with enchantment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visitors will exceptionally be able to access the Cathedral’s Rooftops by lift (with last ascent scheduled at 8:30 p.m.)<\/strong>, to admire the solemn and silent stone forest, the splendid ornaments and the Madonnina at the most evocative moment of the day: sunset.<\/p>\n

An experience made even more enchanting thanks to a special live musical accompaniment that, at sunset time (the time may vary due to seasonal needs), will enliven the visit of all those present among the Cathedral spires.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday 5 September 2024 – NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF SPECIAL\u00a0EVENING OPENING ON THE TERRACES<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Due to the adverse weather conditions forecast for Thursday 5 September 2024, the musical accompaniment on the Terraces of the Duomo and the special evening opening until 9 p.m. are suspended.
\nThe Terraces will follow their usual opening hours for the day (with last admission at 6.30 p.m. and closing at 8 p.m.).
\nFor those who had purchased tickets for the evening opening of the Terraces on 5 September, it is possible to request a refund or, alternatively, to reschedule their visit by 30 September 2025 by writing to: info@duomomilano.it.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

Each Thursday, many musicians will take turns on the terraces with a vast repertoire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first event, on Thursday 6th June 2024, will start at about 8:30 p.m. and will feature the newly formed Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo\u2019s String Quartet, composed of professors Andrea Pecolo (violin), Stefano Lo Re (violin), Matteo Amadasi (viola) and Alfredo Persichilli (cello), musicians from the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The subsequent musical moments in June and on July 4 and 11 are made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Conservatorio \u201cGiuseppe Verdi\u201d of Milan. Students and young promises of the prestigious institute will take turns among the spires, giving voice to the silent stone people of the Duomo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Access to Duomo Rooftops for these special Thursday evenings is possible by lift (from \u20ac 16.00 full \/ \u20ac 8.00 reduced) by booking your ticket online<\/a> or by purchasing your ticket at the Ticket Office 3 – Groups Duomo Info Point<\/em> (Piazza del Duomo, right side of the facade) which will remain open until 8:30 pm for the occasion.<\/strong><\/p>\n
