On Tuesday 10 and 24 June, 8 and 15 july: four evening events at the Museum with the Ensemble Strumentale Officium Musicum and the Music Chapel, with an exclusive aperitif in the enchanting setting of the Courtyard of San Gottardo in Corte<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

For the summer of 2025, Duomo Museum in Milan opens its doors again in the evening for a new edition of \u201cAperitivo ad Arte\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Four special evenings combining history, art and music. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On Tuesday 10 June, Tuesday 24 June and Tuesday 15 July from 7.00 p.m.<\/strong> visitors will have the chance to discover Duomo Museum in the presence of specialized guides to admire the treasures and works of art that tell the events and history of Milan Cathedral in every aspect: the liturgical life, the secular sculpture, the enchanting goldsmiths, the tapestries of fine craftsmanship, the paintings and the luminous stained glass windows. A heritage coming almost entirely from the Cathedral and that tells its double dimension of Cathedral and Monument. On the occasion of these three special evening openings, in fact, Veneranda Fabbrica\u2019s specialized guides will be present along the visiting path to offer insights and explanations about the works and the setting up.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finally, each evening will be accompanied by a suggestive musical live performance, with the presence of the dell\u2019Ensemble strumentale Officium Musicu <\/em><\/strong>and Milan Duomo\u2019s Music Chapel<\/strong>, the oldest cultural institution in Milan, active continuously since 1402. Officium Musicum<\/em> will perform two concerts, one dedicated to the composer Antonio Vivaldi<\/strong> (on June 10) and the other to the Italian Baroque violin repertoire (on July 8). The Music Chapel, instead, will offer an anthology of songs from Ambrosian and Gregorian Chant<\/em><\/strong> dedicated to the main anniversaries of the liturgical year (on June 24), now a program of motets by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (on July 15), whose birth marks the fifth centenary this year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tuesday, 8 July<\/strong>, as an exception, the evening features a guided tour of the Cathedral Museum, divided into four shifts starting at 6:30 p.m. – 7:10 p.m. – 7:50 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., <\/strong>and lasting about 40 minutes each.<\/p>\n

The guided tour will be conducted by the Veneranda Fabbrica’s specialized guides and will be interspersed with the notes of the Ensemble Officium Musicum who will perform “Italian Ostinazioni. Trio sonatas on ostinato bass in Naples, Rome and Venice” in the Hall dedicated to the Visconti era, with music by Andrea Falconieri, Arcangelo Corelli and Antonio Vivaldi.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the evenings there will be a convivial moment in the enchanting courtyard of Duomo Museum, an elegant aperitif<\/strong> by Le Gourmet di Tondini<\/em><\/strong><\/a> in the shade of the copy of the Madonnina and the bell tower of the Church of San Gottardo in Corte. An opportunity to taste the Vino del Duomo<\/strong> (Milan Duomo\u2019s wine<\/strong>), produced by the winery\u00a0 “La Collina dei Ciliegi”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cAperitivo AD ARTE\u201d (Music and Art)<\/em><\/strong> at Milan Duomo Museum can be booked on the <\/strong>official website duomomilano.it<\/strong><\/a>, at a cost of \u20ac 25.00 (full price) and \u20ac 20.00 (reduced price), at 7 p.m. until seats are sold out.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the date of\u00a0 Tuesday, July 8, it will be necessary to select the preferred visiting time slot (as anticipated earlier there are multiple slots, the first starting at 6:30 p.m., the last starting at 8:30 p.m.). The cost includes the entrance ticket to the museum and the aperitif.<\/strong><\/p>\n
