Prayer for Peace

The Diocese of Milan welcomes the proposal of the European bishops to pray for the victims of war and to ask the Lord for the gift of peace in Ukraine, the Holy Land and throughout the world.

Before the Lord Jesus, present in the Eucharist, we open ourselves to his peace: “an unarmed and disarming peace”, which does not come from imposing force, but from love that gives itself to the end.

In communion with the Churches of Europe, we entrust to him the cry of the peoples wounded by war, our fears and our resistance, so that his presence may disarm hearts and open paths of brotherhood.
