When I was a child I lived in Milano, but not anymore. After my dad was killed during the war, my mother and I moved away to an aunt who was a pastry chef. Working with pastries isn’t as fun as eating them. The working days were hard and dull for a little child with long braids, freckles and a lively fantasy. In fact, as soon as I could, I used to take the tram “N” to the Duomo. It made me happy.
