Milan Duomo, access to tourists closed. The prayer area is open
For the Coronavirus alert
In accordance with the provisions contained in the Prime Minister's Decree of 8 March 2020 for the Coronavirus alert, following the subsequent clarifications received from the competent authorities and from the Prefecture of Milan, the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano communicates the suspension of access to the Monumental Complex for tourists.
As indicated by the Archdiocese of Milan, the area reserved for prayer remains open, according to the methods in force and confirmed by the same Decree.
DUOMO DI MILANO – CHRISTIAN PRAYER AREA
Open every day:
- From Monday to Friday: from 6.50am to 1pm
- Saturday: from 6.50am to 6.30pm
- Sunday: from 6.50am to 1pm
Access from the side door of the Duomo (Piazza del Duomo, Arcivescovado side).
These provisions will continue until further deliberations.
It is specified that as provided for in Article 88 of Legislative Decree 17 March 2020 n. 18, the validity of purchased tickets or guided tours, during the period between 24 February and 30 June 2020, is extendedfor up to a maximum of 12 months.
