Victims of the Rsa fire, funeral in the Duomo with the Archbishop

The funerals of the six people who died in the "Casa per coniugi" RSA, in Milan, as a result of the fire that broke out in the night between 6 and 7 July, will take place on Friday 21 July at 11am in the Duomo.

Presiding at the funeral Mass will be the Archbishop, Monsignor Mario Delpini, who on 8 July has already had the opportunity to express his closeness to the relatives of the victims, the injured and the guests of the structure, in a moment of prayer in the church of San Michele Arcangelo and Santa Rita, adjacent to the RSA. The funeral will be streamed on DuomoTV on the diocesan portal (www.chiesadimilano.it) and on the Diocese's YouTube channel.

Access for the worshippers to the Cathedral will follow the usual procedures.

Media accreditation and participation procedures

Journalists, photographers and video operators will be able to attend the celebrations in the Cathedral by entering through the side doors, Archbishopric side. They must register their presence by 9am on Friday 21 July, at the Social Communications Office of the Diocese of Milan by writing to comunicazione@diocesi.milano.it, stating their name, surname and title.

Photographers and video operators should position themselves in the area marked out around the first column on the right side looking at the altar; journalists in the benches of the transept or where indicated by the Order Service. No movement inside the Cathedral will be allowed.
