When the ‘Symbol of Faith’ is presented to the Catechumens

The Cathedral opens at 7.45 pm
This day commemorates the ancient Rite of the Handing Over (Traditio) of the Symbol of Faith (the text of the Creed, a summary of the entire Christian faith) to the Catechumens, so that they might learn it by heart and thus express their profession of faith before receiving Baptism on Easter night.
During the Vigil in Traditione Symboli, Archbishop Mario Delpini will meet with young people in the Duomo and renew the Rite of the Handing Over of the Creed to the Catechumens, who will receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation next Easter.
