On Thursday 19 December, the unmissable Christmas Appointment with the instrumental and vocal Ensemble laBarocca and the Duomo Music Chapel
On Thursday 19 December at 8.30pm, the traditional Christmas concert offered to the City by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, a classic of Milan’s cultural programme in the run-up to the festive season, returns to the Duomo. An event that illuminates the Cathedral with harmony, emotion and enthusiasm to welcome citizens and visitors from all over the world in the sign of music. The sound melodies blend with the architectural harmony of the Duomo, in the wake of that same upward thrust that inspired the city to build its symbol in 1387.
Protagonist of the event, also realised with the support of Assolombarda, will be the Ensemble Strumentale e Vocale laBarocca di Milano directed by Maestro Ruben Jais and Choirmaster, Jacopo Facchini. The concert will also feature the Duomo Musical Chapel, directed by Maestro Director Monsignor Massimo Palombella.
The evening’s programme includes pieces from the Ambrosian sacred tradition, by Johann Sebastian Bach and Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.
Admission to the concert in the Duomo, which is free while places last with compulsory booking, will be allowed from 7.30pm.
LIMITED NUMBER OF SEATS.
