The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano is continuing its commitment to a functional strategy of reception, with a view to a constant qualitative improvement of the experience of visiting the Monumental Complex.
Please note that, for extraordinary maintenance work on the plant, the North Lift will be closed from 10 November 2025 until the end of the intervention (approximately by 6 December 2025).
The ascent to the Terraces of the Cathedral will therefore be possible using the South Lift (side Arcivescovado), alternatively, on foot (side Corso Vittorio Emanuele II).
Please note that for groups who organise the visit of the Duomo di Milano Monumental Complex on their own, or with their own guide or companion, it is mandatory to book and purchase tickets by calling the dedicated call center. The service allows you to choose: the types of tickets, places*, time and dates of visit; if the group needs it is also possible to provide the rental of the microphone system. The booking system is aimed at qualified guides, tour operators, travel agencies, religious groups, school groups, tourist groups and other parties who wish to access the group entrances. Groups without reservation or not respecting the respective schedule do not have priority access. It is always necessary to respect the time chosen for visiting the different areas of the Monumental Complex.

The Veneranda Fabbrica is working intensively, also, to ensure an increasingly optimal and orderly cohabitation of those who enter the Cathedral for personal prayer and those who enter it for a cultural and tourist visit.
