The Duomo Museum opens its doors for free: starting September 27, every last Sunday of the month
There is a story Milan knows, yet not every Milanese has discovered it.
A story spanning more than six centuries and still unfolding today, preserved among the spires of the Cathedral and the halls of the Duomo Museum.
To bring this extraordinary heritage even closer to the public, the Duomo Museum will offer free admission to everyone on the last Sunday of every month.
A special invitation to rediscover the origins and history of one of the world’s most beloved monuments and to strengthen the bond between the Cathedral, the city of Milan and all those who live in or visit it.
The initiative is part of “Milano al Duomo” the wider programme promoted by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo to make the Monumental Complex increasingly accessible, creating new opportunities for participation, guided visits and discovery.
The first appointment is scheduled for Sunday, September 27.
The visit includes the Duomo Museum and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte, taking visitors on a journey through magnificent sculptures, stained-glass windows, wooden models and tapestries that reveal the skill, craftsmanship and passion behind the creation of the great Cathedral, while uncovering treasures and stories preserved through the centuries.
WHEN: On the last Sunday of every month, from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.00 p.m.), admission to the Duomo Museum will be free.

HOW TO BOOK: Reservations are required and can be made at duomomilano.it from the Tuesday preceding each free-admission Sunday.
Each user may reserve up to 2 tickets per booking, with a maximum of 3 bookings per day.
Tickets are non-transferable.
Subject to availability, tickets may also be requested directly at the ticket office on the day of the visit.
