Musical Meditations around the Cathedral Church
Friday, 16 October 2026, 12 p.m.
On Friday, 16 October, at 12 p.m., the sounds of the great organ of Milan Cathedral will take centre stage in a special new event inside the Cathedral creating a musical dialogue that will fill the Cathedral’s naves with emotion.
To mark the 639th anniversary of the founding of the Veneranda Fabbrica—an occasion highlighted by the “Milano al Duomo” initiative, which will feature free admission to the Duomo for tourists on that same day—the Veneranda Fabbrica is offering the faithful and visitors an unforgettable musical experience.
Performed by Emanuele Carlo Vianelli, Organist and Coordinator of the Organists of Milan Cathedral, the programme offers a musical journey of approximately 45 minutes through a selection of significant works from the Italian and European organ tradition. Works by Marco Enrico Bossi, Alessandro Esposito and Charles-Marie Widor will guide the audience through Marian devotion, Franciscan meditation and a hymn of thanksgiving.
