Art. 1
The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano announces an international audition and competition, aimed at the conclusion of a yearly renewable contract of independent collaboration, for the following male voices
TENOR N. 1 PLACE
ALTUS N. 1 PLACE
The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano is an ecclesiastical body endowed with legal personality by ancient state possession, which is responsible, by express statutory provision, inter alia, for the enhancement of the Duomo of Milan in its religious, cultural, historical and civic function.
The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano also has, within its responsibility, the management of a Musical Chapel, created as a continuation of the even more ancient Schola Cantorum. It was established by decree of the Deputies of the Veneranda Fabbrica in 1402 and is among the very few musical institutions in Europe to boast over six centuries of uninterrupted activity. The task assigned was and remains that of solemnizing the most important liturgical celebrations that took place and take place at the Duomo of Milan.
From its very beginnings, the Musical Chapel was composed of both adult singers and the so-called ‘Schola Puerorum’, i.e., children assigned to support the high voices (Soprano and Contralto), whose musical education was immediately taken over by the organization. The Musical Chapel is also involved in concert activities of high artistic value and specialises in the performance of Ambrosian Chant and Renaissance polyphony, for which a relevant vocal ability is required.
Art. 2: Requirements for admission to the competition
- a) age not less than 18 years
- b) citizenship of a European Union country or non-EU citizenship with long-term residence permit, or refugee status or subsidiary protection status.

- e) excellent command of the Italian language if not a native speaker (language proficiency level B2).
- f) be a holder of a VAT number.
The prescribed requirements (points 1-5) must be fulfilled on the date of issue of this notice of competition. As far as point 6 is concerned, the winner will also take the necessary professional steps in order to be able to proceed with the conclusion of an autonomous collaboration contract.

Candidates will be considered admitted subject to ascertaining that they meet the requirements set out in Article 2; they will also be informed at least 15 days before the date set for the examination as to how they must present themselves for the tests.
Absence will, in any case, be considered as withdrawal from the competition.
Tests taken by candidates whose declarations prove to be untrue or inaccurate will be considered null and void.
Application for the competition implies acceptance of the unquestionable judgement of the Selection Committee.
