From 4 June, a special edition of evening openings with musical accompaniment among the spires and the young talents of the Milan Conservatory

The special evening openings of the Rooftop Terraces of the Milan Duomo have become an unmissable summer tradition for the city: a unique walk above the rooftops, where the Cathedral’s spires once again take center stage.
An extensive calendar of evening dates begins on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and continues every Thursday evening through September 11, 2025 (excluding June 19), from which visitors will enjoy the extraordinary perspective over the city, admiring its intricate decorations, flying buttresses and falconature, embroidered in the stone like lace, all culminating in the 135 spires that brush the Milanese sunset.
An extraordinary spectacle at sunset to fascinate and enchant the Milanese public and visitors from all over the world, involved again, in the new series of live musical accompaniments.
At sunset, numerous musicians will perform among the spires, offering a varied alternation of musical proposals, until the end of the summer.
For 2025, the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano strengthens its valued collaboration with the Milan Conservatory “G. Verdi”, introducing a very special novelty in the area of the promotion of young talents.
The protagonists of several appointments of the season will be young musicians, who will perform alongside established musicians from Milan’s vibrant music scene.
The eleven composition classes of the Milan Conservatory will be represented by its students: alongside pieces from the classical repertoire, the evenings will be enriched by an original piece specially composed for the occasion to highlight the musical instruments that are the protagonists of each appointement.
The special evening openings open on Wednesday, June 4, at 8:30 p.m (final ticket entry at 8:20 p.m.; last access to the terraces at 8:30 p.m) with a performance by the Veneranda Fabbrica String Quartet, composed of Andrea Pecolo (violin), Stefano Lo Re (violin), Matteo Amadasi (viola), and Alfredo Persichilli (cello)—all musicians from the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra. The program includes String Quartet No. 1, Op. 19 by Ferruccio Busoni (1866–1924) and an original piece for string quartet composed for the event by a student from the Conservatory.
Starting June 12, the series continues every Thursday evening – excluding June 19 – with with a rich programme of musical events. Detailed programs for each date will be published on this page closer to the individual events.

SPECIAL EVENING OPENINGS ON THE TERRACES AT SUNSET: ALL THE INFORMATION
To fully experience the exact moment when the sun will brush the Duomo Terraces in the colors of twilight, the starting time of each musical performance will gradually shift in accordance with the progression of summer: performances will begin at 8:30 p.m. in June and July (last access at 8:30 p.m.; terraces close at 10:00 PM), at 8:00 p.m. in August (last access at 8:00 p.m; terraces close at 9:30 p.m.), and at 7:30 p.m. in September (last access at 7:30 PM; terraces close at 9:00 PM).
Access to the Duomo Terraces for these events is by lift (tickets starting from €20.00 full price / €10.00 reduced). Tickets can be reserved online or purchased in person at Ticket Office 3 – Duomo Info Point Groups (Piazza del Duomo, right side of the façade), which, for the occasion, will remain open until the last ascent.
In the event of rain, the Terraces will remain open to visitors. The musical accompaniment, however, may be cancelled.
