In order to facilitate the controls by the Public Security authorities at the access gates to the Cathedral, all visitors and faithfuls are invited to be cooperative by emptying their pockets from metal objects and opening their bags. It is not possible to enter the Cathedral with helmets, glass objects and suitcases and any other object deemed dangerous by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo. It is not recommended to bring bulky bags inside the Cathedral.

Out of respect for the sacredness of the place, and in order to ensure the greatest serenity during the visit, users are invited to read the regulations for the access to the Cathedral and Rooftops.
It is expressly forbidden to introduce inside the Cathedral, on the Rooftops and in all the areas pertaining to the Veneranda Fabbrica, signs and symbols referable to movements, associations and subjects expressing ideologies or political realities.

For the prevention and control of Covid-19, the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo has prepared the necessary measures to allow access to the Cathedral for the faithful and to the Monumental Complex of Milan Duomo for tourist visits in compliance with all the regulations in force, also in consideration of the characteristics of the Cathedral and the multiple routes, access gates and services involved, in order to offer a comfortable and safe visiting experience.
