A partnership for the mobility of the Pueri Cantores

Luca Campanile and Davide Buscato (Co-Founders):We are proud to begin this partnership with the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano. For us, it represents a further step in innovation and growth, placing our resources at the disposal of children, who are our future.”

The Milan Duomo Choir is the oldest cultural institution in Milan and among the oldest in the world. Active without interruption from 1402 to the present day, it is the cultural-artistic expression of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano. It guards a unique heritage identified in the music written by its Maestros over the centuries, preserved in the Archive of the Veneranda Fabbrica.

It was in 1402 that the deputies of the Veneranda Fabbrica appointed the first singer and maestro of the Duomo Choir, the musichus Matteo da Perugia. By the end of his mandate, the Duomo Choir had achieved its complete organization: maestro, organist, vice-maestro, adult singers, and boys. The passage of centuries brought a continuous flow of excellent Maestros who contributed to the evolution and enrichment of its musical heritage. In the 19th century, the School was reorganized for the education of the boys to whom, according to the custom of the time, the high voices (sopranos and contraltos) were entrusted.
